Model, Elvira Jain Life begins at 40, at least, that is the standard set by the world. But for the top model, Elvira Jain life began at 16. While most girls of her age were under the shadows of their parents, the little, beautiful, Moldovan girl has already set sails on a voyage of life that is steadily sailing ashore to international fame and prosperity. Elvira was discovered at the age of 16 by the designer Valentina Vidrascu, when she was still in school.
She became the face of many brands and magazine covers. Her strong work ethics and positive attitude speaks for itself by the sheer enormity of what she has achieved in her mere twenties. “I think I live a dream that many girls would like to achieve .Yes, I am living my dream. I encourage every girl to pursue her dreams and work for themselves. Talent is only 10%, 90% is hard work. Always work. Create new ideas. Dream big,” she states in an interview. Her first appearance was at 7 years old in magazine “Alunelu “so her love for fashion and beauty comes from young age . She had experience being presenter at Radio Moldova when she was around 12 years old .
After veering out onto the big stage at 16, Elvira became an entrepreneur by the age of 18 by establishing her own modeling agency through which she became a vessel for other young and aspiring Moldovan girls (and not only )to take the driving seats of their destiny in modeling. In a little over 8 years she has done shoots for Dior, Bloomigdales, Harvey Nicholas, to flying in around Middle East representing Charlotte Tilburry that chose her to represent her new makeup line launched in Kuwait.
She was among the 9 “Angels “ that were flown exclusively for Kuwait for this. She was also flown exclusively to Qatar for Philip Plein show where only top international models were present. She had at one time or another presented Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, doing important campaigns, billboards around the world. She was featured in British Vogue being the face of “Alina Romanova “ cloths line .
Elvira is signed to agencies in China (Unique models), Milan (Fashion), Greece (New model), Lebanon (lips models ) India (Karma models),Turkey and UAE (Mmg ). She has also shot for Esquire magazine, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, Harpers Bazaar, Viva, among many others. Elvira has big ambitions and goals and she wants to be the first Moldovan that appears on Forbes and Vogue magazine’s cover and it appears the dream is only a matter of time.
When Elvira sets goals for herself she always achieves. And what has helped her beyond her winning genes is her personal values that never wavers in the face of any form of challenges. “Everyone that knows me knows I am always honest, positive and have a positive vision . You need to work for what you want to achieve, help others achieve their dreams and definitely life will give you back all the good things ,” she says. Elvira has a degree in Finance in Moldova and an MBA, also in Finance from London Business School.
She had a brief stint as a banker working as an intern at Garanti Bank Turkey in the mergers and acquisitions department. She draws great inspiration and influence from her grandparents; Ion Habasescu and Elena Habasescu. While Ion habasescu is a great scientist with about 100 patents to his name, Elena Habasescu was a literary critic who used to work with theatres, magazines, newspapers and radio.
