KARL LAGERFELD INTRODUCES #STAYHOMEWITHKARL INITIATIVE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

 

The “TOGETHER WITH TEAM KARL” program seeks to engage and inspire its global brand community with activities, classes and entertaining content.

 

PARIS, FRANCE (March 31, 2020) – KARL LAGERFELD announces the launch of the “TOGETHER WITH TEAM KARL” program on its social media platforms. Each week, the brand will introduce engaging content on the @KARLLAGERFELD Instagram channel, such as activities or classes that viewers can join themselves. Created in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the initiative seeks to help entertain people during this challenging period — hopefully bringing a smile to their faces while they are requested to remain inside their homes.

 

Celebrating a sense of community, upcoming performances will be hosted by various members of the #TEAMKARL brand family. Examples include a drawing class from Hun Kim (Design Director of KARL LAGERFELD), an at-home workout class from Sebastien Jondeau (Karl Lagerfeld’s former personal assistant and KARL LAGERFELD menswear ambassador), and a yoga lesson hosted by Alexandra Raoufi (an employee of KARL LAGERFELD who is also a certified yoga instructor).

 

The program launched on March 27 with a live-streamed performance by DJ Chelina Manuhutu, which was joined by over 2,000 viewers around the world. While her shows are regularly held at top venues across the globe, Manuhutu performed this special hour-long set from her home city in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

 

@KARLLAGERFELD will post a notification the day before each event, to inform on the time and the activity. The event will then be streamed through Instagram stories, and reposted the next day on the feed for those who wish to re-watch.

 

Followers are invited to join using #STAYHOMEWITHKARL, which is a take on the #STAYHOME initiative which has gained popularity as people are encouraged to remain inside.
