IACAD fulfils the dream of “Rawda” in memorizing the Qur’an on “reciting through the phone”

“Reciting through the phone” program, one of the distinguished programs launched by the Department of Religious Education and Guidance in the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai in line with all precautionary and preventive measures, where it fulfilled the dream of Mrs. Rawda Hussein Abdul Hakam in memorizing the Holy Qur’an, despite the exceptional circumstances.

Yousra Al-Qaoud, Director of the Department of Religious Education and Guidance said: The idea was based on the interest of creating new methods to spread religious awareness and to facilitate the memorization of the Holy Qur’an.

For his part, Ibrahim Al-Mansoori, Head of the Religious Guidance section stated that the program of “Reciting through the phone” aims to find an integrated program to overcome all the obstacles to spread religious awareness in an innovative way. This will help those who wanted to memorize the Qur’an.

Maryam Ibrahim Abdul Jabbar, a major religious advisor, pointed out that Mrs. Rawda, with her high spirit, tried hard to complete memorizing the Qur’an in 5 years. It all began from October 1 to May 7 2020, which completed the preservation during Ramadan. She started with Surat Al-Nas until it reached Surat Al-Baqara. Rawda is an example of hard work and diligence.

Rawda Abdul Hakam, the Quran memorizer, explained that the daily memorization contained different ranges according to her free time, expressing her happiness to be able to accomplish her mission during those years, thanking her husband and children for their support. As well as expressing her gratitude for the Department of Religious Education and Guidance and IACAD.
