Spotify Launches ‘Soundtrack Your Workout’: The Ultimate Destination for Personalized Playlists for Your Workout

Now more than ever people are finding creative ways to stay active — from new workout environments to creative at-home workouts designed by themselves. And with the variety of workouts that now exist, people are looking for ways to replace their previous mainstay workout audio to stay motivated as they embark on new workout routines.

Spotify knows that the best workouts go hand in hand with a great playlist, so Spotify created Soundtrack Your Workout – an interactive destination that will generate new, fresh personalized playlists each time you take the tailored quiz.

By answering a few simple questions (i.e. type of exercises, workout length, who they’re working out with, intensity level and workout mood), users will receive a personalized playlist timed to almost any workout. If you’re craving both music and podcasts, users can even select a mix media playlist.

Spotify also looked at how users are listening to workout music in the UAE and found that in the last month, 41% of those listening are 18-29 year olds. And what is the top song users are working out to?Roses Imanbek Remix” by SAINt JHN and Imanbek takes the top spot for both men and women both globally and across the UAE, followed by “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd and “Till I Collapse” by Eminem, Nate Dogg which were the second most streamed workout songs for women and men respectively.

“Workout audio has always been a big focus for listeners on Spotify around the globe, and now more than ever, users are finding creative ways to stay active and healthy in this current climate,” said Spotify’s Trends Expert, Shanon Cook. “Listeners have created more than 800,000 workout playlists in the last 28 days, and for those who could use some inspiration, we hope that by offering fresh, personalized workout playlists, we’ll help boost motivation and keep spirits high.”

Below you can find additional insights around how users are engaging with audio to work out. You can find more details on Spotify’s blog, For the Record.
