Capital College celebrates yet another breakthrough after being crowned as the Best Emerging Business School of the Year 2020

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 5th January 2021: UAE’s Capital College, the region’s leading higher education institution and the first entrepreneurship college wins the Best Emerging Business School of the year at the 2nd International Business and Academic Excellence (IBAE) Awards 2020; presented by the prestigious GISR Foundation. The college bagged this award for their consistent performance as a higher education body which was effectively supported by their international university partners, memberships that created social awareness and instilled a sense of responsibility among its students. Apart from launching a new partnership with a globally top ranked European business school and launching ten new management programs, the college was commended for holding memberships with sustainable development-centric organizations like PRME and EAUC.

As per research, the Middle East has transformed as one of the growing hubs for industrialists and entrepreneurs where MENA’s investment startup rose to over $700 billion in 2019 alone. With the United Arab Emirates accounting for almost 60% of the funding followed by Egypt in the second position, the pandemic has further accelerated individuals to venture into entrepreneurship. In line with this, Capital College believes that higher education for the management sector will boost one’s knowledge and practical experience to successfully venture into the industry and grow. The college further believes that through such programs, students will be able to hone their skills and share ideas, strategies and potential models with their peers and faculty, allowing them to kick-start their entrepreneurship career with a cast network. In line with this, IBAE recognized the college’s vision to introduce programs that will guide budding entrepreneurs and professionals to upskill and future-proof their employment opportunities.

Commenting on the win, Dr Vikas Nand Kumar Batheja, Co-Founder & Director, Capital College comments “This is certainly a breakthrough to see our higher education institution to be recognized and rewarded, especially during these unprecedented times. We are glad to see that organizations like IBAE and GISR Foundation have recognized our efforts towards fostering student education and experience while paving pathways for their successful careers. This nothing but makes us more resilient and motivated to work toward a similar long-term vision where we can support young entrepreneurs and business enthusiasts to achieve their ambitious dreams and goals.”
