ACCA President Predicts Bright Future for New Generation of Finance Professionals
The head of the world’s leading accountancy body has called on the next generation of finance professionals to play a leading role in building a healthy and sustainable economy in the Middle East.
Mark Millar, the president of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), said that the special set of qualities displayed by professional accountants will be vital as business seeks to build back better from the troubles experienced by world commerce in the last year.
Speaking at the first online ceremony welcoming over 900 of ACCA’s newest members who attained their membership in 2019 and 2020 from the right across the Middle East.
‘Our communities, our companies and our countries, including right across the Middle East, need the skills of professional accountants more than ever before, the skills of men and women like you – ACCA accountants, dedicated to the honest pursuit of sustainable business, to build confidence and restore health in the global economy,’ Mr. Millar said.
Mr. Millar predicted a bright future for the new generation of ACCA accountants in the region.
He said: ‘This ceremony isn’t the end of a journey. It’s just the start of what I know will be a fulfilling, a rewarding and a prosperous career with ACCA.’
