SHERATON MALL OF THE EMIRATES

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 1, 2021 – Marriott International has appointed Gurnoor Bindra as the General Manager for Sheraton Mall of the Emirates.

Gurnoor, is one of the youngest millennial female hotel leaders for Marriott in the Middle East.  In her new role, she will be responsible to drive the strategic priorities of Sheraton Mall of the Emirates, a five star hotel with 481 rooms and suites, a portfolio of restaurants and bars and meetings and events spaces. Gurnoor has held various leadership positions and has worked with Starwood – now a part of Marriott – overseeing Operations and new hotel openings for South Asia for Starwood.

In her last assignment as Hotel Manager,she successfully led the sassy team at Aloft Dubai Creek driving exceptional financial and operational results through her innovative and analytical skills. She has also introduced the workforce innovation model to create integrated job roles based on processes versus departmental silos. Aloft Dubai Creek became one of the few hotels to accomplish Leed Platinum Certification and the passion for sustainability continues with more plans in progress to reduce plastic, save water and reduce waste in general.

She also is the key chair for serve 360 Pillar in Marriott Business Council for UAE, spearheading multiple initiatives across Marriott hotels around sustainability and charity for important causes. Aloft Dubai Creek also became the first Marriott hotel to partner with Evolvin’ Women, an organization that develops and supports young women from underprivileged communities in Africa.

A passionate traveller herself, she continues to strive in trying and experimenting new ideas to make consumer journey unique and memorable.
