“It was such a challenging job to make a song for the T20 world cup of 2007. To make a sports anthem which encompasses so many feelings and emotions of a billion people is not easy. This year 2007 was very important because India lost the 50 over world cup, then won the 20 over world cup and for us we had created Chak De India which was the only song playing when the team came back to India. With this glorious film HAQ SE INDIA, there are so many emotions and nostalgia attached and when Gaurav approached us to create the title track, it was a challenge for both me as a composer and Amitabh as a writer. Whenever I have created anything which involves the word “India”, there is a huge responsibility on my shoulders and I am so happy everyone involved with the film really loves the song. I am so excited to be part of this project and I really hope it reaches out to every Indian around the world and touches their hearts”
