Art through the ages – Theatre of Digital Art hosts Impressionism 101: Lighting a Revolution

The session by Natalya Andakulova allows participants to explore the history of one of the biggest art movements, leading the way to experiencing art in a highly subjective fashion

Theatre of Digital Art in Dubai is hosting a lecture with Natalya Andakulova, an art historian and aficionado, and founder of Andakulova Gallery in Dubai to educate the audience of the art movements throughout the ages leading to Impressionism and uncovering the origins of modern architecture, sculpture, painting, and design.

One of the first major art movements of the modern era, Impressionism 101 portrays the radical revolt against the contemporary standards of academic painting. Established in 1874, with the hope of challenging the status quo that the Paris Salon had entrenched, now household names like Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, and Camille Pissaro, advented the Impressionist style to value human subjectivity and interpretation in the art form.

During the session, Natalya Andakulova, will touchbase upon the ideology, controversies and unanswered questions on Impressionism aesthetics. The lecture will leave attendees with the facts about famous masterpieces that everyone should know.
