JAZZ PIANIST DANILO REA TO PERFORM AT EXPO 2020

Concert will take place on Monday 28th at 6:30pm at the Italy Pavilion

Dubai, 24th March 2022 – Danilo Rea, the famous Italian jazz pianist, will perform for the first time in Dubai at Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 on Monday 28t March at 6:30pm.

Organized by Umbria Region and Sviluppumbria as part of the Umbria Regional Day, the concert will allow the Dubai audience to experience the typical sounds of Umbria Jazz Festival, the international Jazz Festival running in Perugia, Umbria, since 1973.

Danilo Rea was born in Vicenza, Italy, in 1957. Rea is graduated at  the Santa Cecilia Music Conservatory in Rome and his talent has led him to establish himself on the international scene and to play alongside famous jazz players such as Chet Baker, Lee Konitz, Steve Grossman, Bob Berg, Phil Woods, Michael Brecker, Tony Oxley, Joe Lovano, Gato Barbieri, Aldo Romano, Brad Mehldau, Danilo Pérez, Michel Camilo, Luis Bacalov.

Classical, rock and pop music influenced his training and converge through jazz, his true passion, in an unmistakable and unique style composed of two fundamental ingredients: melody and improvisation.

The 2022 edition of Umbria Jazz will take place in Perugia from 8 to 17 July. The schedule of the Festival includes: on July 8 Joss Stone and Mark Lettieri with Funk Off will inaugurate the UJ2022 concerts; on July 10 an evening entirely dedicated to Cuban music with Aymée Nuviola, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Cimafunk. On 11 July, what many have defined the future of the blues will make his debut at UJ: Christone Kingfish Ingram, sharing the stage with Jamie Cullum. Final weekend, July 15, 16 and 17, with three absolute stars: Diana Krall, Tom Jones and Jeff Beck + Special Guest.
