UAE, 22ndJune 2022:For this summer, Sumo Sushi & Bento is back withits annualPoke Pā’ina Festival in its second year until end of august addingtwo new authentic Hawaiian bowls to its menu. The Chirashi and Lawai’a bowl.

At AED 59, the Chirashi Bowl is a bed of sushi rice topped with tuna, salmon,and Hamachi chunks, filled with avocado, ebi sushi, garnished with ikura salmon and Sakura mix. The Lawai’a Bowloffersrefreshing slices of tuna, salmon, prawn, and crabstick drizzled with Sumo’s signature sauce, topped with avocado, wakame, and tobiko at just AED 55.

Ms. Julianne Holt-Kailihiwa, CEO, Sumo International Inc. LLC is part native Hawaiian who has curated all poke dishes to ensure that they are traditional and embody an authentic Hawaiian taste. She commented,“Poke (Hawaiian for “to slice” or “cut crosswise into pieces”) is diced raw fishand when traditionally prepared is quite a simple Native Hawaiian cuisine. Poke began with fishermen seasoning the cut-offs from their catch to serve as a snack. Today’s contemporary Poke includes a wide variety of predominantly Asian flavors that were introduced during the plantation days when there were an influx of trade and migration to old Hawaii.

Other popular Poke options starting from just AED 45 are Ono Poke, Fusion Poke Bowl, Samurai, Cali, The Duke, Tsuvoi and Suji. Customers can also build their own Poke with Poke rice bowls made to order with their choice of white or brown rice, salmon,tuna, or combo and poke, spicy or furikake sauce.
