MoEngage grows 120% in the Middle East

Insights-led customer engagement platform expands rapidly in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) presence to help businesses increase customer loyalty

Dubai, January 18,2023: MoEngage, the insights-led customer engagement platform, has announced that it has grown 120% in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region in 2022. The martech software company, MoEngage, which raised funding, is continuing to grow and gain share in the market. This reiterates its commitment to growth in the region and closely serve the needs of its local customers. 

Today, MoEngage has more than 105 customers in the region across industries such as retail and e-commerce, banking and finance, telecom, airlines, healthcare, media, entertainment , travel and hospitality. It has added more than 70 customers in 2022 so far which has businesses not only from UAE but also Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, Israel, Tanzania and Turkey. 

Its net revenue retention (NRR) in the region stood at 105% during the same period. The impressive customer list includes the likes of retail giants Landmark, GMG, Apparel Group, Azadea, banks like Mashreq,  NASDAQ listed shared mobility player SWVL , Kuwait’s Jazeera Airlines, Bahrain’s leading telecom Batelco, Saudi music company MDLBeast, top classifieds like Bayut, as well as Nigerian e-commerce company Mano Africa amongst others. 

The company now boasts of more than 20 personnel in the region across sales, business development, customer success, solutions consulting and marketing. It is looking to add to its headcount in 2023 by augmenting the team in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Nigeria. 

Additionally, MoEngage has also built a robust partner ecosystem that consists of over 70+ resellers, agencies, tech partners and service integrators which help to expand its reach and serve a wide array of customers. These include the likes of e-cens, Labrys, Euphoria and FreshTech Africa. These regional partners are in addition to global partnerships that MoEngage has with the likes of Mixpanel, Appsflyer, VWO, Branch, Amplitude, Gupshup and others.

Apart from the business side, MoEngage has also made rapid strides in innovation and introduced new capabilities /features to its customer engagement platform. With MoEngage Inform, Web Personalization, Google Ads Integration, and App Marketplace, brands in the Middle East and Africa can power up their Customer Engagement strategies.

It plans to take this bandwagon to various other countries starting with Kuwait and then to Qatar, Egypt, South Africa, Turkey and Nigeria amongst others.

How our regional customers are benefiting with their names and quantifiable benefits

Retail giant Landmark Group and banking behemoth Mashreq are perfect examples of how digitization and personalized communication can win over millennial engagement resulting in higher conversion rates.

Post digitization, Landmark observed a 30 per cent uplift in delivery and engagement rates and a 5 per cent increase in conversion rates. Similarly, Mashreq Neo witnessed a 16 per cent boost in debit card activation after personalizing its communication to customers.

Another successful case in point is Azadea Group. The group witnessed a 300% increase in new weekly customers and a 27 points improvement in NPS after order status automation.
