The 4th Annual Fakeeh Health Conference concluded successfully, reinforcing its position as one of the region’s premier multidisciplinary gatherings in emergency and acute care medicine. Hosted at the JW Marriott Hotel Marina and organized by Assimilate by Medvarsity, the event welcomed more than 750 participants from across the UAE and abroad, representing emergency medicine, surgery, pediatrics, radiology, dermatology, mental health, nursing, and hospital leadership.

The conference was led by Conference President Dr. Mohaymen Abdelghany, Group CEO / Board Member – Fakeeh Health and CEO of Fakeeh University Hospital; Conference Chairperson Dr. Mazen Abou Chaaban, Director of Academic & Training Affairs, Designated Institutional Officer (DIO), Consultant Pediatric & Pediatric Nephrology; and Keynote Speaker Dr. Balu Bhaskar, Chief Medical Officer of Fakeeh University Hospital.
The event opened with remarks from Dr. Mazen Fakeeh, Chairman of Fakeeh Health, who emphasized the organization’s enduring commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care.
Centered on the theme “Pioneering the Future of Emergency and Acute Medicine: From Robotics to Gene Therapy,” the two-day meeting further solidified Dubai’s role as a regional hub for scientific exchange, advanced medical training, and healthcare innovation.
The scientific program offered an extensive review of contemporary challenges and breakthroughs in acute care. Key discussions explored updated sepsis protocols, disaster readiness, AI-powered diagnostics, pediatric polytrauma, gene therapy applications, robotic surgery, dermatological emergencies, metabolic crises, and the growing use of VR/AR in emergency training.
Mental health in private healthcare settings also received significant attention, with experts addressing licensing, insurance coverage, and improved pathways to care. A dedicated pediatric track brought together emergency physicians, intensivists, surgeons, and radiologists to examine complex pediatric crises and multidisciplinary approaches to management.
Accredited with 14 CPD points by the Dubai Health Authority, the conference promoted collaboration across more than 15 specialties and highlighted evidence-based strategies to elevate patient outcomes. The exceptional turnout and diverse participation underscored the sector’s commitment to continuous learning and cross-disciplinary engagement.
